Here is another lovely (mini) session that I've been meaning to share. I'm lucky to photograph this family in so many stages of their life. Meet the newest little bub: Asa! His big sisters adore him. : ) (Side note: we missed having Dad, Kurt, at this session, who was out of town.)

THE BORK FAMILY

Last April while we were on vacation at Sunset Beach, I asked a photographer friend who is based in Wilmington, NC to do a mini shoot swap. Y'all. She took some AMAZING family photos for us (check them out on her blog HERE)! Katie is an incredibly sweet person with such a kind heart, and we'll treasure the photos she took for us for a very long time. THE GARDNER FAMILY

Today I get to share images from a special family's mini session. I photographed Kelly and Bob's wedding almost five years ago now (!!!!). Since then, they've added a couple of precious kiddos: Claire and Weston. : ) Weston is only about a month old in these photos, and Claire is such a sweet big sister to him! Both of the kids stole my heart. I love watching families grow, and I'm so thankful that I get to continue to capture special milestones.

BIRCH: BABY

First of all -- how awesome is the name Birch?! I LOVE her name, and I loved photographing this family. My friend Jenna, who lives in North Carolina, gifted a mini session to her dear friends Kat, Kurt and Birch (who live in DC), so I was lucky enough to photograph them in their beautiful home earlier this week! I really enjoyed hanging out with (almost) 12-week-old Birch and her parents. They are so laid back and fun (and funny!). Not to mention Birch is the CHILLEST BABY ALIVE. And so gosh darn cute! Enjoy some snaps of this crew. And happy, happy SPRING! : )

Sooo pretty!

I was dying over these maps in their living room. Kat and Kurt framed the cities where they've lived together.

And this is what it's like trying to photograph a baby and a puppy together. Haha -- love!

SO SWEET!

MARGOT: NEWBORN

I got to meet and photograph this scrumptious little sweetheart at eight days old. Margot (LOVE her name!) was born early -- just THREE days after I took her parent's maternity photos! Crazy timing, I'm telling ya. She was perfectly sleepy during the session -- a dream to photograph. I am so incredibly happy for her awesome parents! Enjoy some of my favorites of this precious little lady. : )

I am in LOVE with her little nose. And I have to give major props to Matt, Margot's dad, for helping me hold the blanket during these solo shots. Sometimes the space in city apartments can be tricky but with willing parents...!

How adorable and stylish is her nursery?!

Margot's grandmother (Kat's mom) was in town helping them out after her birth, so we grabbed some shots!

Matt's mom sent these sweaters all the way from Ireland. It'll take a bit for Margot to grow into her's, but I loved that they wanted to get some shots in them!
