Seth + Mary // Charlottesville, VA Wedding Photographer Preview

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I posted. Things have been prettyyy busy since Rio was born last winter. : ) Hopefully I'll be able to post a personal update soon! But first: these two. Mary and Seth got married over Memorial Day weekend, and I wanted to share a couple of frames from their awesome day. I mean...have you ever seen a bride chest bump her groom on their wedding day?! Ahhhmazing. More to come from this fun day!

PRINT YOUR PHOTOS! [A canvas special...]

I’m a BIG believer in printing your photos. Even though we're in a highly digital age, I think photos are meant to be PRINTED and DISPLAYED. You may think that canvas prints are too expensive, but really, it’s the most affordable type of art for your walls. Canvases are still an investment but they hold such great sentimental value. If you’ve always thought about adding a canvas (or two!) to your walls but haven’t made the leap quite yet, here's a little encouragement to do so... I’m running a special for FOUR DAYS ONLY (8/13 through 8/16). This will be my best deal EVER on canvas pricing. Here are the details:

A 16x20" ready-to-hang canvas gallery wrap is $80 off: $169 (normally $249).
A 16x24” ready-to-hang canvas gallery wrap is $100 off: $219 (normally $319).

Each canvas is hand stretched on a custom-built frame, printed with ink rated to last 100 years and spray sealed with a UV inhibitor coat. Your order is shipped directly to you - shipping cost included! I will only offer a very limited amount of these so please contact me by 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 16th (first come, first served). Here’s how it works:

1. Email mel [at] melissatuckphoto [dot] com and let me know which photo(s!) you'd like to use.
2. I’ll email you a proof back of the cropped photo and your total amount due (discounted price + tax).
3. You check off on the proof, and I’ll order your new canvas print!

I want to leave you with a couple of examples of how we display canvases in our house. The first is in our living room. Our wedding photo on the right goes so nicely with the painting from Ryan's Granny. And the bottom collage is from our bedroom. I'll be ordering more of Brooklyn at an older age soon, but I have to leave some room for her baby bro. ; )

Louisa + Boyce: Chevy Chase Club // Chevy Chase, MD Wedding Photographer

Louisa and Boyce had a stunning wedding! The ceremony was held at St. John's Church in Lafayette Square, a historical church located across the street from the White House. You may remember my Instagram preview of the couple taking a selfie with one of the kids visiting the White House on a field trip (I presume). So many middle schoolers were cheering and clapping for them while we did a few portraits. It was so neat (and adorable)! Louisa and Boyce's reception took place at the beautiful Chevy Chase Club in Maryland. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather!

Special thanks to Anna Arpasi for helping me shoot that day!

Louisa's dress was so unique and gorgeous; I'd never seen anything like it! It seemed as though she was floating through the air the whole day. The soft blues of the bridesmaids' dresses complemented the sharp black tuxedos of the guys really well. I SO enjoyed hanging out with this crew. Everyone was so relaxed and excited for Louisa and Boyce. And the DANCING! The dancing at the reception was really fun to photograph. My best goes to the newlyweds and their families. Enough from me... Enjoy this classic spring wedding!

I'm SO excited to share this wedding with all of you. Sarah and Michael got married in May at the Ronald Reagan Building in DC. This photo was taken right after they said "I Do" and their adorable pup, Cady, came for a few portraits. You may remember Sarah and Michael from their Capitol Hill engagement session last fall. Sarah is one of my oldest friends and today happens to be a big milestone birthday for her (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!), so I thought it was fitting to share her wedding today.

I can't say enough good things about these two amazing people. I kind of spilled my heart out about them already in their engagement session post, so I'll talk more about their wedding now. It was AWESOME. There were so many special moments, but my favorites were their first look and the choreographed first dances at the reception (Katy Perry's left shark made an appearance!). All the details were stunning: Sarah's dress, the florals, the wedding party ... everything was flawless. I can say a lot more about how wonderful it was and how wonderfully emotional this wedding left me, but I'll move on to the photos. : )

Kelly & Reed's beautiful Washington, DC wedding was featured on District Weddings last month (eeeek I'm so behind in blogging!). So extremely thrilled that one of my favorite local blogs picked it up. Go see the full feature HERE.
